A native of Buffalo, New York, Michael J. Stengel graduated from the University of Rochester with his bachelor's degree in 1983 before heading south to Tennessee. He earned his law degree from the University of Memphis in 1986 and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar that same year. In 1994, Michael founded Stengel Law Firm in Memphis, where he combines his passion for criminal defense and tax law and fights to protect the rights of individuals accused of any crime, including tax-related crimes.
